Silent Helical Gear Pump

The silent helical gear pump is a low-noise hydraulic gear pump with a displacement range from 3 to 70 ml/r. It is fully interchangeable with our standard straight-tooth gear pumps. Its maximum operating pressure is similar to that of the standard gear pump series, reaching up to 300 bar. The helical gears ensure continuous motion even with a reduced number of teeth. This lower tooth count helps reduce the fundamental frequency of pump noise, producing a smoother and more pleasant operating sound.

The specially designed tooth profile prevents oil trapping, significantly reducing the pressure oscillations and vibrations generated by the pump and transmitted to other components. This helps lower the overall noise level of the hydraulic system. The axial forces caused by the helical gears are optimally balanced under all operating conditions through the axial compensation system integrated into the pump cover.

Specific compensation areas in the bushings and covers are isolated by reinforced anti-extrusion seals, allowing the bushings to move freely in both axial and radial directions. This structure greatly reduces internal leakage, ensures excellent volumetric and mechanical performance, and provides proper lubrication for the moving parts of the pump.

• Noise Level Comparison At the same pressure of 200 bar, the noise level of the Low-Noise Helical Gear Pump was compared with several other pump types, including standard external gear pumps, dual-flank gear pumps, internal gear pumps, and vane pumps. The Low-Noise Helical Gear Pump showed the lowest noise level among these pump types.
• Low Pressure Pulsation and Reduced Vibration Thanks to its low pressure pulsation characteristics, the Low-Noise Helical Gear Pump helps reduce vibration induced in the machine. In addition, the lower-frequency sound produced by the Low-Noise Helical Gear Pump is more pleasant to the ear.
• Pressure Pulsation Comparison At the same pressure of 200 bar and speed of 1500 rpm, the pressure pulsation of the Low-Noise Helical Gear Pump was compared with standard external gear pumps and dual-flank gear pumps. The Low-Noise Helical Gear Pump also performs better in pressure pulsation control than the other two pump types.
